A couple pics for now before the full WIP and gallery go up. He's now standing amongst the other finished models. Glad to have this done! Now to write about it!
Easily one of the most challenging projects I've ever done.
Bravo. Looking good. Great colours. I can't make out much detail, why are the pics so grainy? Pic #2 for example really wants light being bounced back up off something reflective from the bottom left of the frame onto the model's front.
the pics are grainy for a couple of reasons. one is that i cut the resolution and quality to make the file and picture size smaller. I also touched up the colours a bit because I don't think I set my camera to the right settings. I actually did put a mirror in the spot that you mentioned but it just wasnt strong enough. i'm actually kind of disappointed with the way some of my pics turned out. the lighting set i used just isnt doing it for me. i swear its a constant battle for me. my camera is a 7 year old 3.2 mega pixel digital camera too that my ex-gf had no use for so she gave it to me (after i lost my 5mp cell camera in a drunken accident) so... my tools are limited unfortunately. I would really like a nice camera tho...
gaigun - give it a short. it'll give you a new perspective on this hobby of ours.
also - just realized I messed up my iso settings! ah! I'm not going through that photoshoot again! just gonna have to deal with the pics as is! sorry. I'll do better next time. still learning!!!
Argh...scratched decals, you say? Man, that's the bane of many mech kits I have that DON'T transform! How much so for the Macross kits?
Yikes.
Off the top of my head, I would think the MG Zeta has a more complex tranformation than these Macross F kits. Though I fervently wish Bandai would release kits of the CLASSIC Macross series mecha...
...unless, hm. Is it true that Hasegawa or some other company has exclusive rights to the classic Macross license and not Bandai?
