The Time has Come...

...to step into a new era.

  1. Ahh...the day has finally come. I remember my first airbrush w/ compressor combo. Savoring all the little emotions (as the Joker would say)... the joy of the new equipment, the fear of using it for the first time, and the eagerness to hone in the required skills to use it properly. Yes... you will have fun.

Your airbrush seems to be a single action airbrush, and your compressor has one standard air flow. A very good beginner combo. I can imagine all the new paint colors that you will be mixing. =)

  5. Woah... Compressor and airbrush is a big investment in gunpla to me... I can find one mini compressor for as cheap as USD $80 and the bigger ones as high as USD $300. Not sure whether i should get a cheap one or not...

  6. Yeah, I'm also considering this step into a new era, I'm getting tired of buying spray cans!

  7. G.G - i imagine that you've been using an airbrush for a while because it seems like all of your work is so finely painted.

everything you said there is pretty much how i feel now. i really havent had the time or the change to really use it yet but i am looking forward to using it more. its been a lot of fun! its really changed the way i do things!

yeah i went for a pretty simple and basic one. im not planning on doing much fine work with it. mostly just doing the standard recolouring work i do. i just want to do it better and more efficiently. looking forward making my own colours too!

tonzo - thanks for that! love that song!

EX K - i say just go for the cheap one. mine cost around $100 all together (with ac adapter and tax). if you're serious about gunpura you'll probably get one eventually... so the sooner you get it the more money you'll save because you wont be buying as many spray cans.
